Dorian says: "I don’t want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them" (chapter 9). Would I be reading too far into it to suggest that there were sadistic and sexual connotations associated with the verbs, "use", "enjoy" and "dominate"? I don't know if I just have a dirty mind or if that would be a valid point. Thanks.
