    There isn’t a canon of British culture. I looked into this subject in conjunction with Asperger syndrome. The reality is that there are two British cultures: traditional culture and popular culture. Traditional culture moves very slowly and doesn’t change much from one generation to the next but popular culture changes very rapidly. Popular culture overshadows traditional culture although there is an overlap between the two. There are also regional and local subcultures.
