What skills do you get from volunteering at a carehome and you can only befriend them? How is this relevant to nursing? Would I be able to ask for a reference?

Well you've got experience in a relevant industry if you're at a carehome. The volunteering requires plenty of confidence, empathy and trust. Explain what exactly you have done, like engaged with residents when they look lonely, or changing sheets and working as a team with the care workers there. Obviously you've given up your own time to help others, this shows dedication and a willingness to help and support vulnerable members of your community.

yeah but you get the idea right? give examples of things you've done and say how it's strenghtened your confidence and team-building skills etc. etc. It's a really good placement, there should be a lot to say
