I have some questions about my written work for Oxford (e.g. the length), and have already read all the information on the website. I'd email the college but I'd like the answer relatively quickly and don't want to be in a position where I've emailed and then have to call nearer the deadline because I haven't had a response.

Is it considered acceptable to call the Tutor for Admissions in such a case instead of email?

Tagging LMH and Brasenose because I'm clueless

We would advise using email if the college concerned has indicated the would prefer you to contact them this way.

Agreed In any case, perhaps it might be worth calling the admissions office to ask them? I find calling is always a better bet for getting a quicker response...

Thank you for your response. My query relates to whether my titles are acceptable. I have no written work in English from Sixth Form, but my teacher has given me 2 titles which relate to topics I'm studying for my A-levels in foreign languages, which is what it says to do on the website. Is it worth checking with the college if it's okay that I've prepared the work specifically for submission to Oxford?

Yes , it is worth checking with the college - we have had a number of queries and responded to them, so they should also be able to respond. .

I'd email - I imagine at this time of the year when applications are being submitted that the colleges will be checking and replying to emails fairly quickly.
