Basically, i failed my first year so decided not to go back to uni and apply for an apprenticeship instead. I got the results after april.

I need to fill in this form for my new apprenticeship however unsure whether to tick it or leave it blank.

So can anyone explain to me why i should tick it or not.
FYI i won't be earning 21k a year as of yet.

    Hi Cordero31,

This is simply to confirm that you have had a student loan previously, we would advise that you complete this as you are not earning over the threshold to make repayments this will not affect your account.

    Thanks

    Hi Cordero31,

If you don't meet both the criteria there then you don't need to cross the box. It won't make any difference if you do though.

Like Katie said, it's only to indicate that you have had a student loan previously for repayment purposes. If you're not going to be earning over the threshold then you won't be repaying.

    Regards,

    Stuart
