Loved this and thanks for the tag. I feel sorry for the girl that cheated maybe she has some underlining issues at home. But either it is bad to cheat

Your day sounds intense! I thought mine was bad, at least you’ve got the weekend just to relax and enjoy yourself
i feel sorry too and yeah my mum suggested that? maybe she has pressures at home? i still respect it’s bad but if i was in her position???

yeahh pretty intense - so glad it’s the weekend!

Hi! Thanks for the tag, I'll enjoy reading your journey you're definitely more motivated than I was in Year 10, which is great!

    no problem!

well... my motivation is a bit up and down and although i’m a high achiever, there are people out there who are better than me and i’m basically striving to be the best

unfortunately this week my motivation has taken a bit of a dip but no doubt i’ll pick myself back up and get stuck in soon! i’m excited to see what happens in the next few years

    i hope you enjoy it!

Don't worry too much, it's totally normal to have motivation dips every now and again, especially since it's difficult to see when the GCSE slog is going to end while you're in Year 10. But there is light at the end of the tunnel looking back now I kind of miss the breadth of subjects you get to study at GCSE, so enjoy it while you can!

thank you! that was kinda inspirational
i’m really the opposite - i can’t wait to specialise in certain subjects as i progress through my education just because i have so much content to learn for so many subjects!

but i’ll definitely try and enjoy my last year of freedom?! (since the following years will all be examsexamsexams) ahhh

Haha np ^_^ yeah, as much as I miss studying sciences, I don't miss how many facts I had to learn for my science GCSEs! Good idea, although since you'll be doing the new, linear A-levels, year 12 will be a free year for you too

as i've previously mentioned, this week's been pretty tough. work has certainly been turned up a notch, i'm a bit overwhelmed by it all AND the pressure is already UNREAL

is anyone else feeling a bit like this at the moment?

nevertheless i'll report on my day, it's been an interesting one to say the least

    E N G L i S H
    analysis of chapter 2 frankenstein...
still not quite in the mood/rythym of analysing texts and i'm not really that into frankenstein yet - this should come with time!
our 'topic' question was how the chapter was foreshadowing and what the effects were? i kind of understood it but ended up going to the back of the class and flicking through endless revision guides for some help on what on earth was happening in this chapter (don't fear! i get it now! but i got some weird looks...)
also if you're not aware im in set 2 for english and maths. my best guess is i got moved down in english because i was struggling a bit with analysis and motivation in the subject, and subsequently i went from highest in the year to averaging 7/8 which was not usual for me! as for maths, it was to be expected as i had an awful teacher last year, i struggle with maths anyway and it was better for me to be in set two, where i can still aim for an 8 with the ability of the class!

    H i S T O R Y
carried on with the categorisation of why england and spain went to 'war', it gave me time to catch up and also to plan my next essay which im so not ready for!! i found the mark scheme though as it is one of the sample assessment materials - so im going to make it as good as it can be (even though i have a 1 page limit!!!! ugh!)

    G E O G R A P H Y
i had my test! i don't want to jinx it but i found it quite easy! somehow i managed to retain all the content and apply it to the 500000000000 6 mark questions they stuck into the test so hopefully i did well?! only regret is that i didn't conclude my 9 mark question but that should hopefully not be an issue as i answered the question thoroughly

    S P A N i S H
learnt a song about hotel complaints which was hilarioussss! we changed the translations of the song from present to past and next lesson we're going to draft/write our own hotel complaint letters... interesting topic!

    C H E M i S T R Y
i've got a lot to say, but i'll explain...
    Spoiler:
    Show

our physics teacher greeted us and explains that someone in the class has cheated (we knew this, she was selling photos of the test and she had been on her phone in the test but we were only aware AFTER) she was put into remove and he basically says we have to do the physics test again due to the unfair advantages the other classes will subsequently have...

gReAt... i actually feel sorry for the girl who cheated because she is so lovely and now everyone is going to look down on her!
anyways, i was given my physics score back and i got 38/50 or 76%

NOT happy with this but in comparison to the test it was okay - i can't tell if im happy to do another (rewritten) test so i can do better or if im annoyed because I HAVE SO MANY TESTS ANYWAY

so thats what went on and now i have more to revise and this really disrupted my chemistry as i was pondering what to do about revision the whole time!

actually within the chemistry lesson we were introduced to covalent structures (graphite, diamond)

so thats my crazy friday for you!
i also found out that my blog has been featured alongside some other great ones! pretty exciting, and i hope this blog gets some new viewers

i will probably do some subject specific updates when it seems necessary/a good time to, but for now you can be entertained by my accounts of school days?!

i hope everyone had a good day; anya

    TAGGING SOME PEOPLE
Thank you for the tag! Well done on getting you blog featured, btw! Loving it so far

    good morning everyone!

this morning my plan is to draft my history essay, edit t and write up a final version tonight
i’m using a revision guide to help me structure it as well as some class resources... hopefully i’ll get high marks on this!!!

the thing i’m struggling with the most is the page limit - ive got one page to fit this all onto but i still want it to be as detailed as possible *goodluck2me*

    hi again!
excuse me for updating a lot today - but i might not update at all tomorrow as im kinda busy and won't be studying!
I have finished my first draft of the history essay (not the conclusion as i want to ask my teacher about it )
it's not great but its a draft - i can improve it!

    what else?
i completed a worksheet i had for homework in PE, it was on classification of skill and i feel like ive cemented my knowledge on it but its a topic thats open to interpretation so i'll be interested to see what other people answered for this question...

i procrastinated by going on weird threads like the 'count to a million' and 'the great chat CA race'... must have spent about 30mins competing with @laurawatt

i printed out some chemistry revision resources off kerboodle. i'm going to sort them out and do some practise exam questions a little later - theres also a few knowledge organisers and checklists to go through!

i printed off my biology notes for the topic i did last year on cells (im currently doing organisation and have a test soon so i neeeeed to revise!)
i also did a few interactive plenarys on kerboodle...

anyway i've gotta go - i'll do some notes and revision while i'm gone and update you later!

    i’m really not feeling great.
unfortunately i have an absolutely TERRiBLE immune system and it means i get colds all the time (i had 20, including 2 bouts of flu and 3 weeks of me going completely deaf last year) - i actually hadn’t been ill at all through 2017 until the end of september.
in the past few weeks i’ve had 3, and this morning i woke feeling a bit headachey. managed to get stuff done.

obviously it developed thoughout the day - as always - and i felt i was well enough (apart from my knees and shoulders) to swim...
the session was so hard though, and i was bunged up and headachey the whole way through, i was struggling to complete the sets (which were really hard fyi) and when i got out i was honestly so exhausted

now i feel sick and i can’t move and i feel on the brink of death tbh - i was hoping to get stuff done!

i’m sure i’ll be fine and i’m sorry for mumbling on about something so pointless but it means i’m unlikely to do anything else until monday; i’m just feeling really rubbish... i really wanted to finish my revision and essay...

i hope you’ve all had a good evening! at least i had a productive day! tomorrow i’ve got skiing for two and a half hours and then i’m shopping (hopefully i’ll be feeling better)

it’s looking like an early night for me
    goodnight; anya
