So I did something that injured myself. College decided to keep me only on one course, and now I’ve just been told that because it doesn’t count as full-time education I no longer get free prescriptions and my mum no longer gets child benefits.

We’re a working-class family so obviously this is going to make a massive impact on our income and now I’m just feeling down and going to do my bit to save money (no longer taking my meds etc) because we won’t be able to afford it.

Any ideas of what else I can do to make things better?

try get back on more courses, tell them about this-pull out the sympathy card
if that doesn't work a part time job will help.
I don't know you but no longer taking meds sounds like a bad idea

    1. talk to your college about increasing your courses again
    2. look at what benefits you're eligible for - including getting a card for free prescriptions - ask your pharmacist for a form
    3. find a job
