What is your least favourite thing about Windows 10?

Excluding low-hanging fruit such as being forced to "upgrade" from 7, telemetry, and weird permission bugs (I need permission from MYSELF to delete this file?!).

I remembered one of my own little issues:

(File) Explorer: Tabs. Custom background. Command line.

    Not too hard:

    Nice tabs you got there.

What was the verdict on the moustaches?

    Thanks.

Yes, tabs are a great feature for file explorers. Sometimes I have like 10 Explorer windows open at once on windows, it is just pretty dumb.

I am aware that there are some third-party applications that add tabs to Explorer, but they are pretty buggy and not 100% trustworthy, so I keep away from them.

Moustaches? Is that a coding term or something? I have no idea.

And unrelated, but do you know how to remove wheat from orifices? Asking for a friend.

Cortana voice search; it's a horrible feature :/ You can switch it off, thankfully!

I've got used to it because I just disable everything that gets on my nerves or learned how to use stuff that comes with Windows 10 or downloaded apps and features I needed 😐

One of the things that bugs me about Cortana is that I can't remove it via the software centre. I can remove all the bloatware the manufacturers install, but not most of the bloatware Windows 10 comes with (e.g. Holocentre, Cortana, and other things I have no interest in using).

Also - the silent install "feature". I removed a lot of third-party bloatware that came with Windows 10 (such as ****ing Candy Crush Saga), and it was all back after a reboot.

Even using Powershell only partially removes these "features" - and this will be completely undone if I install the latest Windows update (Creator's Update?)

    That ain't my desktop tho.

I have a few desktops (virtual desktops), one for each colour, and then some with video wallpapers. Sometimes I like to code while watching an asteroid smash into the Earth.

Ninja edit: Apparently, desktop doesn't refer to the thing behind the windows on the screen, but rather the screen itself. So my correction was wrong.

Mhmm. What you're referring to would be the desktop background.

You gave it a good go, buddy.

    Not my fault

It literally calls them Virtual Desktops.

The folder you see on your background is called Desktop.

And why would you call the screen a desktop instead of just "the screen"?

I apologies sincerely my dear penguin friend. Your screen is as black as my soul. (Or lack thereof)

Have we come to terms now?

Windows 8 was a hassle to use on my (non-touch screen) laptop so it was great to upgrade to Windows 10.

The only issues I get is that I get notifications at least twice each hour saying that OneDrive can't upload files even if I do "resolve" them, and that I'm denied access to areas of the laptop that allow antivirus software to be upgraded.
