Have you had the interview yet? How did it go?

You'll need to demonstrate an ability to persuade people to buy enormous bars of chocolate at a tiny discount.

Seriously though .... just give the impression of someone who'll turn up on time and not steal the jazz mags.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you, I didn't see this until now! Personally I wouldn't worry too much at that stage no, they may have just been delayed for some reason. Have you heard anything since?

I got the job! on Wednesday i had a 2 hour trial where they wanted to see how i interacted with customers, and operated the till i made a few errors but i got the job, and signed the papers.

My first shift is tomorrow at 8 am, with the other staff (Who i have never met) so kind of nervous any advice?

Woah that's great news, congratulations! :gah:

It sounds like a total cliche, but my main point of advice would be to be yourself with the other staff - if you're hoping for a long term role there, it's better to be comfortable in how you're putting yourself across than to try to put on a front. Also don't be afraid to ask questions - people will rather you ask if you're unsure than you feel uncomfortable or try and muddle through

It was my first official shift today and both the store manager, and my other colleague left me in the shop at my own, i gave somebody a £1 extra (Mistake) in change and accepted an Irish note no idea if this is allowed, but since i was on my own i trusted my own judgement.

    Worried to be honest.

It sounds a bit unfair part to leave you on your own already! Just be open with them about it tomorrow; it was an honest mistake on your part, and it sounds like it wasn't a big one at that!
