I've written my CV and DESPERATELY want to go out right now and ask for positions available. On the bottom I've written 'References on request' but its half term so I can only get my references when I go back to school because I want to ask my teachers.

Can I apply for jobs now even if I don't have my references yet?

Yes. Recruitment processes aren't known for being quick, so you'll have time to get them if they're needed.

As an aside, unless you're trying to fill some blank space, you can leave mention of 'references available on request' off your CV - employers know they can ask you for references. Some will want to contact them, some won't.

    Good luck!

Normally employers will ask for references once they've offered you a job so you can apply now and check with your teachers later
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
