In my personal statement for psychology should I mention that I wish to go on to study a postgrad in clinical psychology or leave that out?

I'm applying for a joint honours that includes psychology, and my head of year told me that I could mention my career aspirations in my ps. Personally, I feel that in your personal statement you should provide information that relates to the course you are applying for currently. Mention that you have an interest in clinical psychology as a career, but it's probably better to focus on the undergraduate course you're applying for rather than the postgrad course.

You can mention it but make sure it doesn’t sound like a naive dream. A dclinpsy is extremely competitive and challenging - committing to that at 17 will usually be unconvincing to admissions staff who understand the work and luck involved.
