I'm thinking of getting Mr Bruff's English Guide or Mr Salles guide. Does anyone know which one is better?
    Thanks

I haven't seen both, but my vote is Mr Bruff. It was only £4, went through each question in detail, with lots of tips to score the best points, plus back up videos. That was for June exam this year.

I used both and mixed the different pieces of advice into my own notes. I sat the exams a year early and got a 9, so it does work doing it that way, but if you can't get both then they're both brilliant. Mr Salles has a specific focus on getting 100% and getting inside the examiner's head, which I found very useful, but if that sounds like it'll stress you out then Mr Bruff's can still get you top marks

I only used their Youtube videos for my GCSEs and although they're both very good I do think Mr Salles goes into a lot more detail

So would you say Mr Salles is better for trying to reach a Grade 9?

I would. If you're currently a few grades lower than a 9 then make sure you don't go too heavy with it as he does go into a heck of a lot of detail, it scared me a bit at first ngl. Just work your way through it at your own pace and don't feel pressured to do really well right away is what I'm trying to say
