Do you get bored in bath uni after a while since the city is very small and the campus has limited number of activities? How is the night life?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

My name is Alice and I'm in my second year at Bath studying Management. Having been at the university a year already, I am certainly not bored of Bath. Whilst it is a fairly small city, there is still plenty going on and the city is often buzzing with students. There are events for firework night, and the famous Bath Christmas Market is definitely work a visit. More generally, there are cinemas, plenty of shops, and a lot of quirky places to eat and drink.

There are also plenty of activities and sports to get involved with on campus and these can be a really fun way to get involved and meet people in your first year. There are over 90 societies, so something to appeal to all. I am part of the Management Society and Yoga Society. https://www.thesubath.com/socs/ - Have a browse at all our societies here!

There are some great nights out in Bath, whether you enjoy a bit of cheese music, charts or house - there really is something for everyone. The SU nights out are held on campus and these are a big hit with first years - some of my best nights were at Klass and Score. The clubs are smaller than those in big cities, but you are bound to bump into everyone you know which can really make the night. Also Bristol is only a train ride away if you are looking to party on a larger scale! In my first year, there was an arranged night out - Bath Takes Bristol - which was really fun. Also there are many pubs and cocktail bars for quieter nights.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions. Best wishes!

    Alice
