BCU is way better than Wolverhampton so I'd go for that if I were you.

My sister went to Wolverhampton and she hated it (she transferred elsewhere for her 2nd year). Apparently Wolverhampton are just not serious enough, they let students doss and do their own thing, there just isn't enough student support there really.
BCU is my first choice for 2008'. Hope to get in.

Well i visited both open days and picked Wolverhampton because the I.T facilities looked so much better than UCE and the lecturers were equally friendly. The teaching on the Computer Science course seems pretty good and nobody "dosses"- they've grown out of that stage.

My only criticism of Wolverhampton is that the social life sucks.

PS if you do go: be carfull of the "Welcome week" exercise, the website we were asked to make had to be presented in a lecture hall of a couple of hundred people :P

This will be confusing for the OP so can the above poster please back your statement that nobody dosses? Just helping to OP to get reliable opinions:p:

How can i back my statement ? My friends and I take the course very seriously and i don't see anybody "dossing around" in workshops or lectures. I can't provide anything other than anecdotal evidence. Considering im currently studying the exact course the OP is talking about i think it should be ida who has to justify her statements.

Do employers like Wolverhampton? The IT facilities look great but what's the point if you won't get a job at all?

Don't know, its pretty low on the league tables but UCE isn't exactly high either. Saying that, if your just doing Comp Science for the job prospects you might as well give up now.

I don't feel that I need to justify anything really. I was just (as you were) giving my opinion on the uni.
Anyway, I think BCU is significantly higher in the league tables (not that they matter a great deal) and I guess the social places are more accessible from there.
IMO it's the better choice. But it will differ for everyone.
