Well, I'm studying Business Studies as one of my 3 AS Levels. I'm from Wales so all three subjects are on the WJEC exam board. My school doesn't offer Business Studies as a GCSE but they teach it at A-Level, so I'm wondering if that puts me at a slight disadvantage compared to those who took the subject at GCSE and A-Level. I figured it shouldn't jeopardise our chances by only studying it at A-Level, because they wouldn't offer it at Key Stage 5 otherwise. But I'm wondering if there's any subjects covered at GCSE that are also covered at A-Level and whether I need to know anything for A-Level that's covered in Key Stage 4 but not Key Stage 5. Am I at a slight disadvantage? Any other WJEC Business students out there?

Lots of people take A level Business without having taken GCSE Business (as they do for Economics, Psychology and Sociology). Looking at the results achieved at my school having taken the GCSE does not provide any obvious help in taking the A level.

No you won't be. It's pretty common to do one subject at A-Level but not as GCSE
