Why do you think female political candidates would stress their masculine traits such as toughness? What do u think they are trying to prove and why is is important in such a male dominated political system??? I need people's opinions

I think you answered the question yourself honestly. We live in a male-dominated society (primarily), this patriarchy means that women have to pose themselves as being "equal" to men. BUT then again, would you want a frail, passive individual (male or female) to be in a position of political power? I wouldn't, I need someone who is willing to fight for their beliefs and who won't take no for an answer basically!
