I was just wondering if i have made a mistake, as i have been told that there is not much point in applying to do economics at oxbridge or lse without having further maths as an A Level is this true?

Also, other than grades and personal statements, what could I do to make my application stand out more?

Have you done your research and checked out what the colleges say on the matter?

As far as LSE goes then its desirable as a 4th A level only at AS or A level.

LSE are helpful in that their website provides detailed insight onto subject combinations. If anything they prefer a spread of subjects and its almost a disadvantage to offer M FM + one other subject for A levels and they prefer M+ 2 broader subjects to show a range. they also recognise not everyone has the opportunity for FM.

You are going to have to check out oxbridge for yourself, but very few courses require FM.
