I have had depression for ages. The first year was alright, I loved the first semester and making new friends. Towards the end of the first year, I got sick of living in halls because it was so noisy and messy. Me and some friends got a house together this year. Since we've moved in its been horrible, my friend brought her partner to live with us despite us all agreeing "no, he cant live with us" during summer. They fight all the time and they are very messy. Need less to say i never see her anymore. Another housemate has just shut himself away from everyone else and we never see him because hes with his other friends. And the other two i never see because they just wanna watch TV in their rooms. The house is always so messy and nobody talks to each other anymore. I feel so depressed and alone. I tried joining new clubs , which is helping me socialise and things but going back to my house just ruins every evening. I want to move out but its difficult when im in a contract. All i do everyday is just goto my lecture, goto work then walk 40 minutes home to people arguing and mess what can i do? I really wanna live with people who are actually my friends , I wanna go out and do things instead of spending most my nights alone. (p.s ignore my grammar).

Im currently doing my first year at uni and I am living in halls so my advice may not be great.

I would reccomend socailizing with people who make you happy and care about you, my friends dont like there housemates so they come over to mine to escape them. Have you got someone that can let stay around their house from time to time just to get away from yours.

I would look for somewhere else, then when you can afford to get out of there. For social wise I guess it'll just have to improve with time.
