For most of my university choices I am applying to study philosophy with classical civilisation, but on one I am just applying to do philosophy on its own. This is one of my backup choices and is asking for much lower grades than I have already achieved, is there a chance I will still receive an offer? Obviously my personal statement is split between both subjects I'm applying to do half of it wont be relevant

Your combination is unique so I believe that applying to philosophy alone as one of your choices won't be that great of an issue, there's still a competitive chance that you'll get an offer from the university in question.

Yeah as long as there is a fair amount in your personal statement talking about philosophy, then you should be fine with applying for it.

    Good luck!
