The subject of the degree doesn't determine how well paid the job will be, it's the individuals ability to get said job. Investment banks for example take people with all sorts of degrees, not just financial, they look at an individuals complete application including work experience, performance at assessment/interview. Anyone can go on and do the GDL (although that is being phased out now) and if they have a strong enough application go on to a top law firm and earn good money that way.
