Regional cities such as Birmingham, Reading, Manchester and Leeds. How would you rank them based on working environment, opportunities and social life?

Manchester would be top. Think of it as London, but better more polite working environment and not as busy. not sure about the others.

I've not been to Reading but I believe its quite a bit smaller than Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds. In terms of the other three I would put them: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham from best to worst, although I wouldn't call Birmingham bad. Is this for university or employment?

Manchester (biased though), Leeds, Birmingham and then by some distance Reading.

Born and bred in Birmingham and I agree 100%. Apart from a few areas (like literally 4), it’s a s***hole. Even the city centre is awful.
