Read your notes but then do as many practice papers as possible so you get used to working out the answers

    GCSE or A level?

    GCSE

As it is more theories rather than maths it's easier to do the "scribble" method.
    1. Open your textbook or other learning material
    2. Read through one page thoroughly
    3. Close the book and scribble down everything you can remember
    4. Open the book and see what you forgot/got wrong
    5. Repeat

If you build this up you should get to stage where you remember everything on the page.

Do practice questions to practise applying this knowledge.

    A level

As it is more maths and formula based - the only thing you can do really is practice!
Do lots of past paper questions.
Try looking at some AS maths mechanics papers.
