Games and Study, how do you cope. watch

    • Thread Starter

I am currently studying an Extended Diploma in IT at college however I also spend the majority of my time playing games, I'm interested to know how you fellow gamers spend your time wisely on either studying or playing and how you keep them separate as throughout most of my academic years, my gaming has put me behind on several pieces of homework and assignments.

Honestly, you need to schedule your time. Make sure you have time for both gaming and homework. Use a little life planner or the calendar on your phone

I used to sort of set my self goals, especially during final year when I was doing my dissertation and all I wanted to do was play games! So I'd say, if I finished this assignment I could play an hour or so of this game, or like if I worked on my dissertation for a couple of hours I'd have a couple of hours break gaming. You have to sort of train yourself into the mindset that work = play, cause otherwise all you'll wanna do is play a game and not do the work.

Idk if you've heard of a website/app called Habitica, I'd check it out if not! It's a planner/game in itself, and you get like coins for doing tasks and you can spend the coins on rewards that you set, e.g. "Do this assignment" = 3 coins, "Play 1 hour of this game" also = 3 coins.

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
