I am panicking because I've just read that the secondary sources evaluated should be academic historians. I've used a filmmaker (of a film about the period) and a philosophy academic. Help what should I do?

Find some academics. Its ok to use those people, but they dont have the credibility an actual historian has as they wont use the same approach and are therefore less credible. They should be experts in what they are talking about? Are they? If you are using other historians then worry less, but if all you have used is non historians, then why?
