    Hi,

I recently started my 1st year but I’ve had health problems and missed a lot of classes. I spoke with my tutor today who advised me that it might be best if I defer my place till next year when my health problems will be resolved.

I have received my 1st maintenance loan payment. My question is - if I defer, will I still get my 3 maintenance loan payments when I start again in 18/19 or will I only get 2 payments?

    Please help!

    Thank you x

Call your university to contact Student Finance to change your student status to withdrawn. I think you'll still get the payments but if you do, Student Finance will contact you further regarding more details.

Regarding receiving payments in 18/19, I think you'll have to reapply for student finance.
