Would it be considered plagiarism if I used an example ( like a case study/ theory) from the Internet ; or if I were to define something word for word on my personal statement?
Or does this only apply to copying other personal statements?

Everything should be original. You don't want to put a case study in, it's not about you. You shouldn't just define what say economics is for example, the admissions tutors know what it is!! Show your, interest, what have you read about? What did u learn from that, did u disagree with anything.. Any possible. Implications of a certain idea that's not generally agreed?
