Engineering futures Level 3 Diploma Rail Engineering and Maintenance watch

    • Thread Starter

So I saw this advertised on a job site yesterday and want to know what people think about it?

Basically it a 20 week college course where you gain the above qualification.

I've always wanted to be some kind of engineer and do not mind getting my hands dirty, but I am struggling to find a job at the minute because of my lack of experience, I have been a labourer in Australia and I'm currently the assistant manager of a restaurant.

The course would fit in well around my current job and it is only 20 weeks long, what I want to know from you guys is what doors will it open for me? Will I walk into a job afterwards? What are my career prospects?

Are there better options out there?

    Appreciate your help.

Hello HarryDid you ever chase the above course up? If so what do you think? Thinking of a rail career myself.Chris

I am currently 5 weeks into this course, seems ok to be fair but there is quite a bit of work and studying involved, but my course has been cut from the 20 weeks to 12 because the number of people dropping out etc. So over the 20 weeks would probably be a lot eaiser.

Is there a charge for this course?

is the course worth doing I am interested myself but i do have a full time job not the best paid but yeah i am looking for something new

Could you keep me updated on whether the couse could provide you with a job? Im currently in your position! Many thanks!
