    Mothers are using right by instinct. You say it's 80% your fault with no basis for that, could it be he's emotionally abusing you and your mum sees that? Just food for thought. A healthy relationship isn't one where you're 'rowing all the time'.

    This will make you or break you. you are going to have to make decisions that you can live with if they go wrong. I think you are going above and beyond to do what is right. You are responsible and giving. The person that should be happiest is you. How you can make yourself happy is the main thing here. Tell your mother how she is making you feel in a calm and form manner. She loves you without a doubt but might be expressing it in a manner you don't like. Work you are doing is not to little. settle into uni first and see if you can cope with the workload
