Am I fat/overweight?? Watch

    Hey guys I've checked my BMI on NHS and it says I'm healthy, but I just feel fat around my stomach area so annoying! I am 4ft10 (so short i know) and weight is 42kg is this okay or overweight! Also female. Wby?

    BMI is irrelevant, only body fat % matters. You can measure this with a DEXA scan, or, inaccurately, with calipers/eyesight.

    You're not overweight. To determine how fat you are you need to do a body fat test.

    BMI is terrible for actually looking at one's health, its only focus being on what the 'ideal' weight for your height should be. It doesn't take into account musculature, fitness levels and how active a person is as a whole, which is why some athletes will come up as overweight when testing their BMI.

    Basically, the best way to check whether you're fit and healthy is to check your performance athletically as well as trust your eyes, what you see in the mirror.
