Thinking about giving up drinking all together Watch

I’m 21 and thinking about giving up alcohol and going sober all together for health and personal reasons. I don’t go out all that often, just special occasions. With Christmas and holidays round the corner, does anyone have any tips on how to stay sober on these nights out ?

When you go out you could just stick to ordering soft drinks then you can still go out and have fun just without the alcohol.

Order soft drinks or water, if someone else is buying the rounds they won't buy you alcohol unless you explicitly ask them too.

    Good for you.
You don't necessarily have to go completely Ttotal if you don't want to. You can have a single drink every now and then or whatever. It's all down to what you want to do and what you think is best for you.

I basically never drink, but if there's a drink that sounds nice I won't turn it down just cos it has alcohol. That works well for me. I guess some people will find that one drink leads to another and find it best to avoid alcohol all together. That's fine too.

My advice is to find a nice non-alcoholic drink to have. I frankly prefer a J20 to most alcoholic drinks so that works well for me. Most places will have J20 or coke.
You could also choose less drink based activities when you can. Obviously that isn't always an option, but when it is you could go for a meal or games night etc instead.
