Spontaneous Reaction Multiple Choice Help

Which reaction will occur nonspontaneously?
a. Au3+ + 3e- Au
b. Mg + 2H+ Mg2+ + H2
c. F2 + 2e- 2F-
d. Li+ + e- Li
e. 2Na + Cl2 + 2e- 2NaCl

They gave no Gibbs energy or anything related just the equations, how would you work out the answer based on the equations?

Thanks
Are you sure you haven't got (or allowed) a table of electrode potentials?
Nope :frown:

You know gibbs needs to be below zero, and presumably only 1 answer is correct.
You haven't got enthalpy values or temp values presumably.
So you need the biggest entropy increase - and that reaction will be the one producing a gas.
