First thing to try is using a face wash each night or morning. I would stick to more natural products like tea-tree or sugar scrub because some soaps can irritate skin and might actually make things worse for you. Everybody is different though so it's worth trying a couple of different ones for a couple of a month or so each, making a note of how well it works then deciding which one to stick with.
Maybe try something natural and a targeted spot brand.
That should reduce how many you get and how bad they are, but if you do get any you can pop on a cream like germoline to help them go away sooner. Try not to poke or squeeze them because it can damage the skin and cause permanent marks. If you get the contents on your face it can also cause more spots which obviously isn't ideal.
If that isn't enough you can go see your GP for some more advice. They can give you stronger topical treatments which are more effective against persistent spots/ acne.
It also helps to make sure pillow cases are cleaned regularly and may help to try different types of laundry product in care one is irritating your skin.
Hope that helps
