Allergic to people from New Zealand? Yeah, that would cause problems.

Serious note, I suppose you could appeal and offer to eat a kiwi in front of them.

Seriously? Why do people continue to 'self-diagnose' and blow up their careers like this?

If you want to join the Armed Forces than you don't have anything wrong with you unless a qualified Doctor says you have!

Now if you want a career in the Armed Forces, you have to prove you don't have a kiwi allergy - something they'd never have known about if you hadn't made it up.

Best you find an allergy expert and turn up with a bag of kiwis to try and get a qualified medical opinion that you don't have a kiwi allergy.

Get a grip people, the medical is NOT a confessional where you have to make things up to keep the Doctor happy.

You'd be surprised at the amounts of "allergies" people self diagnose themselves with.

Not really, I've hung around here long enough to see it time after time. It used to be that a) no-one much went to the Doctors about an allergy, they were only found out if they were serious enough to get out of control and b) if you were serious about a career early enough, you'd never go to the Doctor about anything ever, to keep it off your record.

The classic was hayfever - no-one would ever go to the Doctor for hay fever anyway, but you wouldn't go to the Docs it in order to take the tablets legally until AFTER you'd graduated flying training.
