i applied for a higher maintenance to be income assessed for a bursary that my university provides. As I am able to receive this bursary (which i want), i no longer want the maintenance loan. If i change my application to £0 for a maintenance loan, would this affect my income assessed bursary ?
And how long would it take for this change to take place?

    Hi 19loso98,

Applying for the application to be means tested allows the University to assess you for the bursary. You can set the loan to £0 without this impacting the bursary.

The timescales to assess for the means testing is around 21-23 working days.

    Warm regards,

    Shaun.

i have yet to send the declaration form to student finance.

so to confirm, if i was to change the maintenance loan to £0 today and send the declaration form today, i would still receive the bursary and wouldn't have to send any evidence or apply again?? Or would i have to wait 21-23 working days for this change to happen to my account before i receive the bursary?

    Hi 19loso98,

You can reduce the loan to £0 today. We would still require the means testing to happen before you can be assessed for the bursary.

So we would require the NMT2MT form: http://bit.ly/2qdhxWQ from you and the PFF2 form from your parent(s) or partner which can be found here: http://bit.ly/2paMXzx.

    Warm regards,

    Shaun.
