How to persuade Asian mum to marry a girl out of my race watch

So I'm 19 and my time for marriage ain't close yet but I brought it up with my parent while they were planning my sisters wedding. I said I don't want to marry an Asian girl , my dad said thats cool as long as she's Muslim but my mum said no way. The weird thing is that my mum was born and raised here whereas my dad moved here when he was 18 so if anything I'd expect him to have a backward mentality. Is there anyway I can change my mums mind without breaking up my relationship with her when I want to marry someone out of my race

No lmao, this backwards mentality is ingrained in Asians unfortunately, I'm also surprised your Dad was a tiny bit more accepting tbh, it's usually the freshie that's the issue.

There's no way you will get your Mum to come round. Marry a black girl and you can see the obvious racism. Marry a white girl "Oh this culture has corrupted my innocent pious Abdullah etc."

I don't think the problems the skin colour here it's what everyone else would think like me and my dad don't give two shits it's my mum, it's mostly the elders who'd say something negative and my mum doesn't wanna be the talk of the town. Just can't wait for the backwards elders to die off then it would be cool
