    Depends on the context. There should often be a comment somewhere that implies if they agree or not. Some people will write comparisons of views without really expressing any view of their own though (it's how I had to write a lot of my essays for some classes). If you're wanting to include it in your own work, but can't work out their personal view you could say that they reference _'s theory that _.
