If you’re looking for a career in railway infrastructure engineering, will a job on HS2 enabling works help you get there? I’ve been told most of it isn’t railway and is heavy civil engineering, although some parts of the enabling works will have interfaces with existing railway lines.

I would think so and good luck should you choose to go down this path. As someone who uses the tube daily and railways several time a year, this work is much appreciated.
