    ^As above, about time I get with the world - it's been far too long.

    So what news sites do you recommend, and why?
    On the opposite scale, which ones wouldn't you recommend?

    I mainly use http://www.aljazeera.com/ for global news and https://www.bbc.co.uk/ for UK news. I take news from other sources too but those two are my main ones. I visit them because I find them reliable and trust them to be truthful. Al Jazeera also tends to extensively cover issues which I follow such as Palestine or Syria etc

    I use this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/doamuslims/ to stay up to date with the plight of fellow Muslims around the world.
