    My dog had actually chewed the end of my memory stick; thus the dog really did eat my homework.

    Also said once that I had written the answers with a white pen onto white paper and managed to get away with no punishment because the teacher found it so funny.

    Traffic. Doesn't work if someone else in your class/someone you work with takes the same route and gets there on time, though.

    Also at school I used to say my uniform got stuck in the tumble dryer.
