Hi, hope you can help I work with a polish girl and fallen for her but I am much older than her. We get on really well and have gazed at each other for moments at work. I wrote a poem about her and sent it to her which she though was romantic but I said it was one I wrote a long time ago
I don’t want to ruin our friendship if I declare how I feel about her

A friendship is not something where one party feels more for the other, and even with the best of intentions of that party it will be very difficult to keep it at a friendship level. So I would say ask her out; if she says no, distance yourself.
