I am currently in year 13 and want to study Law. I do want to go to university to work towards achieving an LLB, however, I do not want to have a student loan. I want to be a barrister and understand that it is being considered whether or not to implement an apprenticeship to become a barrister. If I do an apprenticeship which gives me a qualifying LLB at BPP university and a solicitor assessment course ( forgotten the official title) can I still become a barrister?

Yes you can transfer across, but it might be challenging. Its normally the other way and normally by solicitors who have attained quite a lot of experience.

This gives you an idea of whats involved.
