Would you rather study Computer Science at Manchester, or Chemistry at Imperial? If you didn't know what you wanted to do in future.

Personally, I'd prefer to study Computer Science at Manchester given that technology is such an interesting field! There are so many advancements and new innovations every day! I'm useless at CS and Chemistry tho so either way I'd be screwed.

Although it's Imperial definitely trumps Manchester as a University, I think the subject is what matters more since it will be a big decider of your future career.

Hence, I think studying computer science would be a lot better if we're looking into the future as it gives you career prospects that are a lot better since it is one of the fastest growing industries with a great demand in high skill, high paying jobs. Chemistry has three main branches in which graduates go into after their degree: research, pharmacy (industry) and teaching. Out of the 3 of these teaching makes the most money and has the greatest career prospects. On the other side of things, many computer engineers/scientists make 6 figures in their prime.

With all this into consideration, I would definitely choose Computer Science at Manchester over Chemistry at Imperial although Computer Science and Imperial would be the best situation.
