I will be applying for 2019 start medicine as i am an AS student. I was thinking about deferred entry for 2020 because I want to take a gap year before to expand my knowledge and experience etc.

Is this a bad move? Is it much harder to get in to medicine on deferred entry?

As far as I'm aware it is harder.
My friend had to defer her entry for financial reasons and uni was not happy about it.

You usually need a good reason (not "I want a gap year") to defer it.
As far as I am aware
