How do I go about leaving college? I wake up every day dreading the fact I have to go in. I want to leave and do an apprenticeship. Will my tutor or college try to dissuade me from leaving?

They probably will, but before leaving I'd say get to the root of it. What exactly do you dislike about it?

Don't ruin your life, complete college, get decent A-Levels, attend a prestigious university, graduate with a decent classification, apply for a graduate scheme, soar through the ranks of British aristocracy and if you manage to find an ounce of time amidst the luxuries and grandeur of your routine then return to this thread and thank me!

The course was nothing I expected it to be like. I don't find any of the lessons engaging in any way and there is hardly any practical work it's mainly just writing about the rare times we do practical work.

Hmm, well here's my suggestion: try to just force your way through. A lot of schooling is "in theory work", but you need the "in theory work" in order to convince an employer to take a chance on you.

you could look for a apprenticeship. Apply etc and when you get the interview and pass then leave college just in case you don't get the apprenticeship
