I recently applied for the role of 'customer service officer at my local RBS branch. To my surprise, I got through to the next stage of the application process. (I think I was only surprised because I assumed everyone who worked in the bank, regardless of role, had a degree...silly me).
I just wanted to ask for any advice in securing the job from anyone who has a similar role? My next step is the numeracy/verbal test online which I assume will just be GCSE level maths?
If I'm successful here I get a phone interview - I've never had one of these before so an idea of the types of things they may ask would be great!
Thank you for your help!

I had a job interview for Barclays for a customer service role, which might help you.
After submitting my application, I received the a link to the numeracy test. This is fairly straight forward maths.
After that, I had a face to face interview (rather than a phone interview). They asked me why I wanted to work for Barclays, what I thought about the news about Barclays (at the time there was a scandal about one of the executives) and what I can bring to the role. They picked off a few items of my CV and asked me more details about it, and then there was a customer service role play. At the end, they asked me if I had any questions for them.
