What's your experience of visiting poor estates in the UK? Watch

    By this I mean the few council estates that are covered by poverty, crime and gangs. These were pretty common back in the 2000s - 2011s in the U.K.

    What has been your experience of visiting these places, could be experiences of gangs, people, etc. and what do you think of it

      Not sure about council estates in general, but an American was on holiday in south Wales when he arrived in Merthyr Tydfil, an unemployment blackspot. Here is what happened.

      Car fires, stabbings, shootings, walking past drug raids on the way to school.

      Winstanely / York road estate, Battersea. One of the most deprived areas in south west london lol, quite the norm with gangs, drugs & stabbings... but it will always have a place in my heart, after all i was raised there.

      However, Battersea is changing with the riverside penthouses and also the estate is getting a regeneration, which will attract more people and yeah, change i guess.
