    spending a couple of hundred on a dress (regardless of how much u have) to wear to a formal dress once in ur life is just plain stupid
    u could spend the money on more useful things,

    Have you tried TK Maxx? They usually have a range of nice dresses for various prices, I got my prom dress from there for £35

    No my parents bought my dress, just like most people's parents buy their prom dresses for them. I've worn it a few times, it's not exactly an everyday item.
