It would be a really long, complicated story to explain why I’m considering an access course rather than the traditional route, but I have good maths and English GCSE grades, and an extended diploma from a Level 2 course at a tech college. Now I’m seriously thinking about doing a one-year access course to get into Uni, but I want some opinions.

Has anyone gone this route? What was your experience with applying and getting into Uni? Would you recommend an Access course, or if you had to do it over, would you choose a different option?

    Thanks in advance.

Currently doing an access course, I would very much reccomend it. Not only are they perfectly fine, they teach you all you need to know, but they also better prepare you for uni than the traditional routes. And considering people get into Cambridge with Access courses you won't have an issue with uni providing they accept the access course you are taking and you have a strong application
