Alright, so can someone clear this up for me, what does additional accreditation mean? How will it affect me when finding a job in the future? Does it really make a difference?

In case you're wondering, I'm asking this because I want to apply for Computer Science, and at Leeds University, there's Comp Sci G400 and Applied Comp Sci I400. The modules are almost identical and I've already been to the open day and asked whether there are differences between the courses and was informed that Applied is simply less Maths. The G400 course is Additionally Accredited where as the I400 is not.

    Thanks.

Additional accreditation just means that the British Computing Society acknowledges that the course contains enough ethics modules (amongst other things) to meet the educational requirement to become a Chartered Engineer/IT Professional. It doesn't really matter, to be honest. I've not read (or heard) much praise for what the BCS does.

Even the University of Oxford's CS programme lacks BCS accreditation last time I checked.
