Ok, so I'm in my second year at UoN and have a couple of coursework deadlines approaching and I'm feeling uncertain about whether I've done one of them as they wanted. The guidance in the module handbook is very vague and when I have asked my seminar tutor (who is a PHD student) if we will have any more information his answer was 'I don't know'. Is it acceptable to go to the lecturers office hours and have him read my work to check I'm on the right track? It's annoying because my boyfriend is at trent and he is allowed to submit all his work twice, getting in depth feedback and an initial mark before the final deadline

    Hi shaunnaob

That's frustrating that your seminar tutor is being quite vague about feedback. If you are really concerned I couldn't see the harm in visiting your lecturer during office hours - I guess that's the point

I'm sure they must be able to give you some guidance at least, even if they can't read it and give you feedback - worst case scenario would be that they say no.

Let me know how you get on!
